Inventory plan
The point cloud in combination with the intensity values can be used to derive an inventory plan. This work can be done in manual, semi-automatic and automatic processes. For instance, trees can be eliminated automatically from the laser data, whereas manhole covers are manually identified and digitized with the aid of the intensity values. Road markings and curbstone edges, on the other hand, are generated semi-automatically using line tracking algorithms.
